I think he's implying if folks only make $1 a day, they can't afford to buy food so they have to likely hunt for food.

And when hunting live game, blood will be spilled. They could use WC to clean their clothes, skin, or tools used in the process. But it's kinda a joke, because these people likely wouldn't be worried about being 'clean'.

Seems medieval, but it is way of life for some. Even in USA. Although in USA it's considered more a sport.

WNBD even had a testimonial from a Hunter recently - although it was about cleaning mud from clothes, not blood - but any live game hunter or even fishermen..runs into blood routinely (on clothes, carpet, tools, etc.)
