dhrr06 - Is this the e-mail you are referring to?? I believe they are trying to state it would not be hard to raise if all contributed a small amount - this was received after the call. As posted earlier - the goal is 25K to get things started - then comes all of the other expenses, as I mentioned.

Dear Shareholders-

Last night on the corporate update call, we were officially introduced to Mr. Greg Cornley, Sr., the newly appointed CEO of Petro America Corp. In his brief discussion, Mr. Cornley spoke to us about his sole mission, which is to have Petro trading very soon.

What would strengthen this mission even further, he stated, would be to have the founder of Petro America Corp, Owen Hawkins, cleared of the charges brought against him, as well as the challenges directed at Petro's viability. Towards that effort, The People’s Company LDF (Legal Defense Fund) has been established to underwrite the legal fees necessary to meet these goals.

It is recognized that many of our shareholders are struggling right now with financial difficulties. Even if a number of shareholders could not participate, given the fact that there are approximately 11,000+ shareholders, it would appear that minimal financial participation on the part of the rest would meet the goal of this fund. Also, please keep a copy of your transaction for tax purposes.
The initial goal is to raise at least $25,000 which is necessary to initiate legal representation. In order to expedite this process at this juncture, an escrow account has been set up for the deposit of checks and cashier's checks made payable to:
