" The court takes up the defendants request for new counsel, ex parte, and out of the presence of the government and the public. The court denies defendants request. Mr. Moss will remain as court-appointed counsel."

Does that mean the judge said he can't change lawyers and has to stick with the public defender? If so, would they still need the LDF then?
