ep. 14--High Plains Corp. of Wichita has secured a $17 million contract to deliver at least 10 million gallons of industrial-grade ethanol to an international trading company.
Stanley Larson, High Plains chief executive, said the company also has reached worked out an agreement with its bank to prepay $7 million of debt and continue its credit line.
The company's Colwich plant, closed since May because of low grain prices, will re-open Monday Sept. 16, Larson said.
The company has about 110 employees 60 at its York, Neb., plant and about 50 in Colwich.
