You should do a little more research.
Its actually cheaper to ship from Brazil because they load cape ships. not panamax. In fact, Vale is building 400,000 tons ore ships for the China market which will make shipping cost below 10 per ton. With Bob using barges to load his ships offshore, this is going to cost north of 60 dollars. Add to this his trucking cost of 25 per ton and you realize there is no profit anymore....maybe a loss
