Chemtura Corporation’s (NYSE:CHMT) Great Lakes Solutions business
has appointed Midland Química do Brasil as its distributor of flame retardants in Brazil, effective November 23, 2010.

The continuing trend toward more stringent flammability regulations in Brazil make this strategic partnership a key milestone in Great Lakes Solutions’ strategy of geographic expansion. Mrs. Luciana de Vivo, Sales Manager for Midland Química do Brasil Ltda, will provide sales and customer care for Great Lakes Solutions’ flame retardants distribution customers in Brazil.

On October 27, 2010, Chemtura Corporation introduced the Great Lakes Solutions brand for its flame retardant, brominated performance products and fumigants business, in addition to introducing its new Emerald™ line of greener flame retardant products.
