That assumes several things (like JPM agreeing to that responsibility, or the court finding as such) -- but if we got to that point -- JPM could pay in cash, or may try to negotiate paying in securities to lessen their "up front" cost.

This is similar to the verbiage they said in the POR where they stated (I think it was the pittance of a $50m bribe to TPS) that it would be in cash, or at JPM's option, in the equivalent value of securities {JPM commons in that case}.
