The brokerages just acted on their clients behalf (more or less)... but the MMs that filled the buy orders had to get the shares from somewhere, right



Sorry, ran out of posts yesterday. Yes, correct. They match buy and sells as entered into their computers. Question is, who was representing they had shares to sell?

That's why you pick one brokerage, tag them hard, and follow the trail backwards
