Off topic... I use a freeware antivirus (AVG) and have so for about 5 yrs. I switched to AVG from Symantec and never looked back.

Here are a few links that you can be used to clean your PC and make your system run much faster. Run them in this order...

http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/default.htm

-Scroll down and select full service scan. It will take a while to run, just let it take all the time it needs. You will need to check it, because it will give you a few options towards the end of the cycle.

- Download and run the latest version of Advanced System Care (FREE)
- Each of the buttons has a settings feature. If you have things you don’t want removed under privacy sweep (ie: typed URL’S, auto fill forms & passwords) I recommend you customize it to not remove these items. Alos if you keep thing in your recycle bin that you don’t want removed, uncheck the box. If you need help, just let me know and I’ll walk you through it.
- Under the tuneup button, there is a lot of things to help improve your systems performance (disk check, disk cleaner, internet booster, smart defrag, Registry Defrag and smart Ram) are items that I use on a regular basis (once a month).

- Download and run the latest version of WinUtilities Free Edition (FREE)
- I would recommend that you use the “Clean Up & Repair”, “Optimize & Improve” & “Privacy & Security” buttons unless you consider yourself and advanced user.

I know these have crossover items, but they pick things the other software doesn’t. They work very well together. I’ve been using them for a long time and have worked well for me. My system runs just as good as the day I bought it nearly 5 yrs ago.
