The Prisoner (1967-68) - After resigning, a secret agent is abducted and taken to what looks like an idyllic village, but is really a bizarre prison. His warders demand information. He gives them nothing, but only tries to escape.

I have no idea why it took me so long to see this 17 episode series.
This is a wonderfully odd piece of television, and the issues it presents remain eerily current 40+ years later.
