Winter is not too much an obstacle too drilling in central Alaska.

If you scan NAK's news releases over the years, you will note that their news on lab results has come out at random times during the course of a year, irrespective of season. Further, I follow/own International Tower Hills Mines who are drilling near the Ft. Knox deposit (Kinross Gold), also in central Alaska. A couple of years ago they began drilling in winter. They had to, then, because they wanted to drill in a swampy area, but needed to wait for ice to provide a stable platform. Finishing there, they drilled in winter this last season too, and will be doing so also in this coming season.
