Make no mistake, I am in the long camp.I like the company, I like the business model and I realize stocks fluctuate. And I don't profess to be the most experienced investor around...certainly in no league with guys like Fernando. But I do understand that a principle of investing is return of profits to shareholders either by reinvestment or dividend and it is their duty to protect/increase shareholder value to the best of their ability. I would be in favor of a dividend no matter what the $ level of this stock is if they in fact have surplus cash that they are not using otherwise. Principle. Further
establishment of quality and sincerity of the management. In this particular case it accomplishes much more in my opinion. It uses the shorts to our advantage instead of theirs (IMO) It squelches further any hint of legitimacy surrounding the company and sets it another step ahead in quality. It attracts the next tier of value investors. It pays themselves back as they are the major shareholders. It sets an example in the China Small Cap sector for other companies to try to meet and also helps show the other side of the Rino ONP etc debacle. Mostly, it is what they should do in my opinion. I am open as to the reasons why not, but it better be a good one. I am a little unhappy they also bought back no stock. If they didn't have these "arrows in their quiver " that would be different. They do. They should issue a dividend on principle alone and capitalize even more on current conditions. If not not why not? and When then?
