NEW LEGISLATION
Legislation passed recently by the United States
Congress is intended to curb the black market, and to
boost the legal one. Companies that report to the US
Securities and Exchange Commission now have to
reveal whether they buy minerals from the DRC, or
from any of its nine neighbours, and, if so, to
demonstrate the source .
