I just talked to Arnie at Regi. He said that Radian is still working on the engine. He said that 2 phase one engines were built and that Regi has one of them. The Navy tested the phase one engine in 2003. The problem with the phase 1 engine was sealing problems. The phase two engine, which Radian is working on now, is to solve the sealing problems. He seemed optimistic about this because of Radian’s expertise and skills.

I mentioned that I thought Regi should have brought the phase one engine to the Money show. He that there is no place to run the engine there. And, he said that showing engine parts would not be impressive. He said that Regi is working on the sealing problem, too.

He is expecting an announcement from Radian soon. But, he reminded me that Radian is on their own schedule.

He said other companies have an interest in the Rand Cam engine, but there are no new licensees.

I asked whether the cancellation of the Dragon Warrior affected progress. He said that there are multiple UAVs that the Radmax could be used in.

I mentioned that Regi’s web site could use improvement; that it looked “old”, and that other engine companies have nicer web sites. He seemed like he never thought about it before, but he did say the site is old. He said he would mention it to John.

A read-between-the-lines impression is that they, Regi staff, don’t read the stock boards. Too bad for them. They would learn a lot about how their actions, or lack of actions (like no metal engine at the Money show or an old unimpressive web site), are perceived by current and potential investors.
