I understand your pain, I am down about 35K overall, I can tell that this is a very confusing time to be in the market and what makes it worse, not all stocks will recover, which is why you must deversify. Even then you are likely to be in the red, I am. The way I figure it, no one can be that unlucky. So I play the waiting game. One of these stocks I hold will not only recover all of my lost funds but will also give me a hugh profit once the market recovers and the jobless rate drops to pre-reccession totals. The majority of these stocks have real companys behind them, they are just facing tough times right now and truthfully many of them will have to close there doors. That makes what we do very risky; even more so than before.
