I came down with Dengue when I was a civilan contractor working for the U.S. Army in the Mekong delta area of Viet Nam. It must've been because I did not get the same inoculations the troops got. Almost died. Had to be helicoptered to an Army field hospital in a place called Dong Tam where I spent 3 day unconscious on an I.V. Dengue is bad stuff. Not previously a problem in the U.S., but I understand it has recently been found in Florida. Go NNVC.
