The extension has worked in Calypso favor, and maybe that was Markle's strategy anyway. At least we have a trial further down the road and it gives Calypso and Tmob more time to settle. This puts Daic in a position of having to decide to settle now as opposed to later because if Tmob and Calypso settle, Calypso will not in my opinion settle with Daic. So Daic has to decide before Dec rolls around whether he wants to chance a Tmob settlement and getting locked out of future income. The way I see it Calypso is in the drivers seat and Daic is hoping he can catch a ride before it's too late. It really doesn't matter where the trial is held or if Williamson is disqualified with this scenario. With money in the bank, the patent is not even an issue. The money would go to pay Daic in the event he were successful in getting the original judgment reinstated. And if there was no money Daic wouldn't get the patent anyway. So neither scenario gets Daic what he wanted "THE PATENT". He now has to decide on a lesser objective which is how much money does he want and that is determined by his decision to settle or not settle or whether Calypso whips him in court.
