"End of day close yesterday saw trends going green. The Dow Jones, Nasdaq and S&P 500 were all in the green. Specifically, the end of day close for the Dow Jones Industrial Average was 11,357.04 up .09%. The end of day close for the S&P 500 was in the green by .445 and settled at 1,218.71. The Nasdaq settled at 2,578.78 which was up .62%. The day closed out positive, but gains with market index values were minimal ahead of the G-20. Today will bring discussion relevant to the two-day summit in Seoul where world leaders, including President Obama, will gather to discuss currency rates and relevant economic data. It is also Veteran’s Day and although the markets remain open, some American banks and all government offices will be closed. Pre-Market trading posts reveal that the Dow Jones is ahead .28% prior to opening bell for the U.S. session. The Nasdaq is lower by .62% and the S&P 500 is lower by .35% prior to opening bell today for November 11th, 2010. Major world market index values however are posting green. Ending the week will be the University of Michigan’s consumer sentiment report. This report is expected to have risen compared to the previous months data. Positive trending in other world markets, and an apprehension for any big moves ahead of the G-20, is likely to help carry positive trends into the U.S. session to start the day."
