Malcolm says that they are targeting two proteins to cure herpes ICP4 protein is a early transcription protein that uses the host cell to do its bidding,the next protein is ICP47 protein the herpes virus uses it to hide from the immune system .Malcolm says with this double wammy that a total cure for herpies is possible ,this is not word for word but what I got from the interview. I think this ICP47 protein allows the herpes to hides in the nerves and is the one that is silenced will cure herpes totally.
