Diverting our agriculture resources from food production to ethanol production caused food prices to spike, and hunger around the world. Meanwhile, our natural gas resources have increased by several hundred percent in the last couple of years, and still more are being added and will be added. We can have both, food production and cheap energy.

Yes, nuclear energy will remain an important contributor to global energy needs, just not in the United States or Canada owing to these new technologies for extracting oil and gas cheaply.
