Dermatologists detect melanomas with something like 80-85% accuracy, if I recall correctly. Anything that gives better results is preferable. My (excellent) dermatologist missed a melanoma during a biannual check-up. I asked him to take a second look at a mole that I thought had changed lately. He said it looked benign, but that, given my history, he's excise it. It turned out to be a stage 1 melanoma. I don't want to have such an awesome responsibility on me.

As far as my investment in Intrepid goes, Sunspotter, it was a bad decision, and I lost plenty of money on it. Then again, I've made plenty of money on other investments, so it's okay.
