According to Monk's website, it is still on. If there was a betting pool on the possible outcomes, I'd put my money on "the second string goes in selling the same old snake oil, and give the marks a message from Monk saying he has been 'unavoidably detained' in the Cayman Islands." Coincidentally, that is where the sole survivor of the Bre-X scam lives in luxury.

However, after this last one, it looks like the Monk Carnival is pulling up stakes and drifting away. No updates and all 2011 events have evaporated off their website.
