you and me cannot set the bid on a stock...the bid and ask are both set by the MM...and just like you said they provide liquidity for the stock...so whether you are buying or selling...you are buying or selling from the MM...not from me or bruce or anyone else.
"and how did Bruce get the 4 dollar pps yesterday?......was it something the MM's did?......"
yes it most definately was something the MM did...bruce paid $4 because he placed an order for $4...and the MM filled it...he did not adjust the bid or anything else...when vspc issues shares...the MM distributes to us on their behalf...thats all.
"But he/she implied that the bid had to be raised by the MM on VSPC......it can be done by anyone .......THROUGH THE MM......"
id like you to call an MM and tell them you would like them to change their bid on vspc for you...see what they say!
its very likely mr chang uses an MM to sell shares for him because he owns hundreds of millions of shares and the MM will sell without destroying the pps of the stock and they charge him a spread on each share...this is the only reason why an MM would adjust their bid/ask...they are simply doing business.
to even suggest me or you could or should use an MM or could possibly change their bids/asks is simply ridiculous and is very telling of your lack of knowledge in this area
so my son...what else?
