Nordstrom is also known by Nordstrom's claiming that is does not exist because the possessive form of the word was used is ridiculous.

Reminds me of the whole clam that Johnny Famous relationship did not exist because the possessive form Johnnie's was used to describe the agreement.

If you try the URL http://www.Nordstroms.com (with the 's') it takes you directly to the Nordstrom site.

Why? Because the people that at Nordstrom know it is also referred to as Nordstrom's.

It's called DD and a little common sense.
