I think the company is looking to shed or seperate from the old equity holders that aren't familiar with the"new company" and it looks like they aren't afraid to ante up for your shares. I think the 8K listed 16 persons on staff that worked within the investment arm of the new co.....I'm betting they know what they are doing.
