I've held UGSI for many years now wondering why it has not done better. I worked for a public water utility for 24 years and before that I work with an engineering consulting firm associated with water resources for 8 years. I met sales representatives with UGSI and even had one give a presentation to our staff engineers (before I bought stock)about their products and capabilities. I thought sure the product and the management staff would carry this stock to new heights. Why it languishes is a mystery to me. All the talk about the billions of dollars needed to be spent to upgrade infrastructure (incuding pipes) seems like it should be a boom to UGSI. The things that bother me most is the same that seems to bother others, the lack of real information from management. Where are they really headed? What is their vision for the company?

I blame the economy for some of this, because even the utility I worked for put off projects because much of our revenue declined as more and more homes emptied due to forclosure (I live in Nevada, the hardest hit) and building ceased. I also question the demand for "sliplining" because it decreases capacity of the original line, a situation that is often at odds with the need to increase capacity.

I'm hanging in there because I still see a demand for a good product.
