We have generated 2.4 million dollars in the last almost two years to take us where we are today which is the most unique closed loop photobioreactor that is completely automated and allows us to run 25 acres remotely.

I think this language is quite telling. The use of the word "generated" in particular. The money was not "generated". It was given to the company in exchange for an ownership stake with the expectation that the money would be returned some day in the form of increased equity or dividends.

To me this reads as if DF thinks of this money as donations toward the good cause of doing research and development to build this photobioreactor. And sadly, I'm pretty sure this is exactly what the final outcome will be.
