This is anecdotal nh, and I'm busy watching the Breeder's Cup and "Let it Ride" with Richard Dreyfus, but I'll do my best. Years ago in Rio inflation was running faster than Maury Wills toward second base.
I'd go for a pack of Marlboro's at 6:00 am and they'd be 10% higher a couple hours later. But everybody kept using cuizeros and dollars.
And back here, in late '79 when inflation was running at 20%+ and interest rates were right behind, people kept using dollars. Sure, silver and gold were flying, but people kept using dollars to trade for goods and services.
I'm not sure what this means but I'll guess that men will still prefer women, that women will still prefer men, or men-men, women-women...boy this is getting confusing...and not inflatable dolls.
