The fact that the Wytec experiment proved commercially useless, in that the company was sold to worthless concerns, like Ohana Wireless, without the technology ever having transformed any of the later concerns into money-makers, must suggest a logical business reason for this failure. Where does the 'fault' for this fruitless endeavor called Wytec lie? Why has the historical Wytec, now after so many years, fallen into the hands of a pinky company run by a vacuum cleaner salesman and muliti-level marketer of frolic and fizz at Sisel?

Perhaps the fault lies at the door of the patent office itself, especially with more than a few patents issued during the days of Wytec's 1990s R&D (and time of Aerius antennas, for that matter):

"The patent office denies that the quality of its patents has declined. But an internal agency experiment gives an instructive glimpse. In 2001, the office created a new set of rules. The complexities of these patents were causing problems for many examiners, so the office instituted a "second-set-of-eyes" system. Under the new system, the allowance rate for business method patents was quickly halved. That suggests patents in other complex fields, such as electronics and bio-technology, given without a "second set of eyes," may have similarly higher error rates."

There are always reasons for every commercial failure. Pre-2001 patents of dubious quality would undoubtedly produce poor sales results when translated into real world products. And poor business results were exactly what was obtained with the Wytec experience. History is the proof of THAT sorry fact!

So what happened?

After reading the article about Wytec:

Article: Wytec Announces New Chief Operating Officer; Nokia Veteran Brings Senior Staff to Fixed Wireless Firm.

This quote sparks my question:

"Wytec is at the stage where a high tech R&D firm moves into high volume manufacturing. In order to make that transition, we needed someone who had done it before, and we were very impressed with the track record that Jerry achieved at Nokia. We have every expectation that Jerry and the talented management team he has recruited can do the same for us."

FINANCIAL BACKING:

So they have MAJOR execs from MAJOR players in the Telcom Industry come on board for a MAJOR roll-out of Product - and the POOF - they disappear...???? what gives here!? What could have happened to this company that had significant financial backing? Read on about the MONEY:

"SANTA CLARA, Nov 16 Asia Pulse - United States-based Wytec Incorporated has formed a strategic alliance with China National Technical Import & Export Corp (CNTIC) for the development, production and deployment of its LMDS equipment in China.

Wytec, a manufacturer of broadband wireless internet equipment, said in a press release that CNTIC made a substantial equity investment in the company as part of the agreement, and would manage the production of Wytec's patented Causeway point to a multi-point system "

How much money?

CNTIC is one of China's largest companies!

About CNTIC: Founded in 1952, China National Technical Import & Export Corp. is a state owned large scale foreign trade company specialized in the import and export of technology and equipment. Now a wholly owned subsidiary of China Technology Holding Ltd., CNTIC handled imports last year at US$70 Billion and exports at nearly US$2 Billion -

Wytec, Incorporated, a world leader in broadband wireless Internet access equipment, and the China National Technical Import & Export Corp. (CNTIC), one of China's largest companies, announced today the formation of a broad strategic partnership for the development, production and deployment of Wytec LMDS equipment in China. As part of the agreement, CNTIC has made a substantial equity investment in Wytec and will manage the production of Wytec's patented Causeway point to multi-point system within the country.

I'm more puzzled than ever; what the heck happened to this GREAT company called Wytec? They seemed to have everything together and were poised to become a giant in the Telcom industry, but suddenly they quietly disappear into thin air ... and then get acquired by the likes of Ohana Wireless... and then Ohana gets acquired by an unknown pinksheet stock called Media g3. MG3 may have been on the OB at the point of acquisition, but nevertheless, they are now virtually unknown and worthless according to the current market sentiment !!!!!!

COME ON!!!!!! THIS MAKES NO SENSE TO ME!!!!
