I am using stacked 1"x1" N42 neodymium magnets and 28 gauge magnet wire for the coil for my prototype. Once I validate the motor and the 1200Vdc generator (Still to be built) I will switch over to N52 magnets for my main unit.

I cannot believe the power of these magnets, N42 are strong little suckers I cannot wait for the N52 magnets to come.
