This whole move towards cloud computing is dangerous, IMO. It opens up cloud-users to many different vulnerabilities that do not occur in a offline-data-storing solution. Dangers are many but include:

1) Data theft by cloud-manager
2) Impersonation and illegal access to your proprietary cloud-stored-data
3) Denial of Service attacks keeping you from accessing your data when you need it.
4) Hackers taking down the cloud service.
5) Relying on cloud-manager to implement proper redundancy to protect against Harddrive hardware failure, power outage, A/C malfunction. Centralized storage is great until someone bombs the place and destroys people's data, so they better have backup sites too.

Etc etc etc.

Lots of places for big errors going forward, I certainly would be *extremely* careful in which cloud-provider I used as a business.

Ok, turning off Computer-Scientist mode now and going back to Must-Make-Money Investor mode.
