skibum, very good post.
There is no way to say it better than you have.
You stated: "the halt was inevitable once the PR was coming"
Exactly right. We saw this at the party. The MM's fired a half of a salvo then. However, this was the last shot in their arsenal before being exposed and/or losing the biggest cellar boxing opportunity they ever played. They had to do this.
You stated: "the TRUTH is now at hand"
Exactly right. CMKX was ALREADY IN MOTION to deliver the truth!
In one month Mr. Mehue's leadership forced this action clearly prompted by the MM's. They saved reporting CMKX to the SEC as their last shot. However, they failed to realize one thing, leading to your next point...
You stated: "Mahue vs the SEC"
Exactly right. And this one will be fun to watch. I'm taking notes. Remember this is the MM's action promting this. This limited time period plays right into IBM's strength: quick, bold action. And....CONNECTIONS and INFLUENCE. Something that was not their before he came on board just 30 days ago.
You stated: "my money is with Iron Bob....Armageddon (sic) time is here!"
Amen brother.
You nailed every point that was important. MM's thinking their last shot (reporting CMKX to the SEC) was going to be a deathblow. They didn't bargain on Mr. Mehue coming on board. Instead their feeble attempt plays into Mr. Mehue's strengths. I would bet a bottom dollar they never invisioned a man of his status to now be involved.
They were scared like beaten dogs of the filing. They were blindsided by Mr. Mehue's directorship and I'd bet a bottom dollar they didn't believe the investigation would have a very short time period (2 weeks). Translated, IBM goes into action and the truth comes out soon.
Great post buddy.
We've passed popcorn before, but my friends I'm sitting back and watching this drama unfold with a popcorn truck backed up to the front of my house.
Mr. Mehue, their best shot is a busch league hanging curve ball. Knock it out of the park sir.
