Yesterday; I listened to a radio program regarding the continued struggles of Haitian people nearly 10 months after the divesting earthquake.

I couldn't help but be reminded of Ecoblue's plight with The New Hope Shelter.

Some of the statistics I picked up up on that concerned the more than one million human beings that are still living in makeshift tent cities;

rotting tents, sexual violence, no latrines or facilities - existing latrines offer no privacy, robberies, and the most disheartening is crimes agains children

It is now being published that land owners are beginning eviction proceedings to clear camps



Has ECOB made a plea/pitch to the United Nations regarding The New Hope Shelter?
