I had a similar experience with the Chamber of Commerce! I sent out two e-mails one to [e-mail] and one to another address that I found on the Pacoima Chamber of Commerce website! The same website that Rameses was refering to! I asked them if they could comment on this weeks Press release Regarding Hall of Fame Beverages and the empowerment zone. To my surprise I got a phone call at work. It was a man named Robert, he claims to have been from the Pacoima Chamber! He was confused and wanted clafication about my email so I read him the press release! He exclaimed that he was with the counsilmans right hand man who is actually a woman and he said that they had a meeting with her just the night before and nothing was mentioned! I asked him if it was his chamber that took care of the empowerment zone or if it was the other chamber the united chamber in that area! He told me it was his chamber. The whole phone call caught me off guard and I encourage others to make phone calls to both the councilmans office and the chamber of commerce to find out for themselves! It is possible that this one person was not in the loop but an event this big in an area that is regressed you would think the entire area would be aware of it!
