WHile you might be right, IMO the S3 was to free stock to be able to be sold to fund the expansion needed to market their new drug. While they have cash on hand to exist for 18 months at their present burn rate, the expenses they will incur in marketing this drug will at least temporarily increase due to the addition of a sales force, manufacturing costs etc. And yes while these cost will be paid for through future sales, there is a time lag. I do not believe they have a firm handle on those costs yet, and wanted to be in a position to sell stock (thus raise money) if needed. I would be surprised if any action on the S3 stock is taken before the end of November if not later.
