Sparky,

More from Mark Varney (after I further questioned him about the delay in filing the IND):

An IND needs to be filed with a clinical protocol, and that is the hold up. While we could run a clinical study identical to the one run with CX717, this is an expensive proposition and we are exploring if we can get to proof of concept in a more efficient way. Also, as I mentioned, we are looking for strategic partners to help defray the cost of the study, and as such we need to ensure the design meets with their approval.

We remain on target to have data by the end of October for the sleep apnea.

Regards,

Mark

Neuro,

What does "get to proof of concept in a more efficient way" mean exactly? Is this trial really that expensive to run?
