You have our sympathy-with the 16 year old--at least mine!! Does he/she KNOW more than you yet!!!!????? Just remember-tomorrow will still come--the SUN will rise.. My youngest is away at college--EXTREMELY quite at home--YOUR days of piece an quiet will come too. They Grow up eventually --I think.
