Right but the point was the basic concept of the difference between owning and having, that is all. Profiting and all that others stuff is a different subject all together. You are absolutely correct that shorting requires much homework because just like owning shares you must know what BEHL is doing. The risk is the same for either type of bet, and they both depend on BEHLs decision making.
