This is sort of a sad/funny/happy ending story!
A few weeks ago, GDRC sent me an email they were taking donations for "Milo" who was abandoned because he had a "pooping" problem. That might sound a little funny but the sad part is he has a medical condition in which he can't control where or when he poops :(
They were asking that everyone donate $1 for Milo to have surgery because in his condition, he can't really be adopted. I know I'm funny about online donations so I decided not to post it here. Instead I took the number of board marks and donated $1 x 2 and made a contribution in this board's name :)
I've been to the location and the volunteers are great. They donate a lot of time and the owner donated a lot of land. As many as they house there, it's remarkably clean.
I just got an email that Milo is going to have his surgery!

Subject: Milo at Great Dane Rescue of the Carolinas!
Just a quick note to say THANK YOU for your generosity! We have raised nearly $1500 to help Milo get the surgery that he needs to fix his "pooping problem". Great Dane Rescue is happy to announce that Milo will be going to the University of Georgia Vet School for his surgery. We are working on the final details for Milo - including his transportation back and forth from GDRC to GA. The University is setting up a fund for Milo to help raise more money for his surgery!
YAY for Milo - Thank you to everyone for helping make this possible for sweet, sweet Milo.
