I believe the drop in the dollar and the pop up in /ES, /GC etc was a reaction to GS's comment that they expect 2-4 trillion in QE2. http://www.businessweek.com/news/2010-10-24/fed-asset-buying-may-reach-2-trillion-goldman-s-hatzius-says.html
