I don't think anyone is arguing that there will be a reverse split.
What few are convinced of is that this R/S will be damaging to the company moving forward. Shares are shares, whether it 100 @ $1.00 each or 1,000 @ $0.10 each.
A R/S that leads to further dumping of new company stock with no value added in return is damaging, but there is no evidence whatsoever that this will happen to this compnay.
The reality is that management has been focused on stock compensation through this whole transformation process and it doesn't seem likely they're going to shoot themselves in the foot but enacting non-accretive dilution of the company stock.
