Even North Carolina is getting in the act.

RALEIGH, N.C. -
If you ever hear Rebecca Forbes talk about teens using marijuana, you'd probably think she is adamantly against legalizing the drug.
"When I see a child and all they're doing is sitting around and smoking pot, no goals, no aspirations, that bothers me," she said.
However, Forbes thinks adults should have the right to choose whether to smoke marijuana.
She is the president of the North Carolina Cannabis Patient's Network and organized a rally on Saturday for cannabis legalization.
"We're just now opening back up the door to talk about this," Forbes said. "This is what this rally's about."
Records show at least three people were arrested in Raleigh Friday night for possessing marijuana.
Alex Bumgardner is the vice-president of the state chapter of The National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML) and said the arrests are a waste of taxpayer's money.
"Our law enforcement is spending most of their time prosecuting otherwise law-abiding citizens," he said. "Frankly we believe that police should focus on violent crime."
Even Libertarian U.S. Senate Candidate Mike Beitler spoke in support of legalizing cannabis.

"Marijuana doesn't infringe on anybody else's rights," Beitler said. "It's something the individual adult should be allowed to make a decision on."
In January a bill to legalize marijuana is expected to be introduced before state legislators.
It will be the second legislative legalization effort in two years.
"I think it's really exciting to me because I think we're moving in the right direction," Beitler said.
