"The world was analog when the Wytec Patents were drawn up"

Would you please explain what you mean with this statement?

In the mid to late 1990's when these patents were "drawn up" the world was already well into the process of becoming digital.

Some of the digital applications during this period:

* Computers, the Internet and e-mail have always been digital.

* Digital CDs replaced vinyl (analog) LPs for music.

* Digital DVDs replaced VHS tapes for movies.

* Portable digital devices like PDAs, voice recorders and MP3 players existed.

* Digital cameras were introduced and grew in acceptance.

* Hospital dictation systems had gone from analog tape-based systems to digital recording (began in the mid to late 1980's).

* File sharing sites for music in the digital MP3 format began with Napster being the most prominent.

Although cellular phones were still primarily analog in the 1990's, MDGC's patents don't seem to address cell phones. In the early to mid 2000's most cell phones became digital.

With the exception of cell phones, the world was very much into digital technology when the MDGC patent applications were submitted.
