To be honest here, I think it is for the good. What does common sense say?
We assume the worst, i.e. nothing to be found. So why would a PR guy be called unexpectedly to a meeting? To brief him that while they're halfway the first hole, there's the expected: "mineralization but unknown of what type and grade"? Nah, an emergency meeting here tells me there's something good.
