Now here is a good example,
how i would RULE iHub's employee Bob if i were owner Matt :o)
First i have to state that usually i take the completely opposite
to the extreme other method.
i went to iHub's Home Page
went to Canadian stocks
went to 5 boards and clicked on Quote by Knobias
4 out of 5 came back in error (not found)
all 5 had valid references to the Canadian markets in the Info
only one had the (xyz) done correct
so,
one view is that its the creator of the board to get it done,
get it correct, etc etc
sure,
but then when lurkers arrive wondering how well this iHub is,
well, in the Canadian arena it 1 in 5 with the correct quote,
or as score of 1 in 5
or on a scale of ten, a 2
for quotes Canadian
so yes,
iHub can let the chips fall where the board creator chops
but, bottom line its a reflection on iHub
and to me iHub should REQUIRE of EACH share symbol board
that references a trading company, that the quote works
and, if folks need a little help, then iHub should supply it,
and here it may be to direct the board creator to contact
the Knobias person on the board this company has,
and eventually work it out until the quote works.
If the board creator is not available then iHub should
take the time to correct the quote symbol simply because
as i stated, this is what lurkers see iHub as, how well it
can handle quotes. Also, why should posters on that board
be denied the quote because the board creator did not take
the time or energy to get the job done correctly.
As for my board where my Canadian symbol does not work,
well as i just posted, i didn't know this quote was available
until seeing by chance monday, and when so i tried it and saw
that it came back in error. So on my to do list is get it fixed,
and i tried the correct combinations, but stil didn't work since
the Toronto became the Ventura and now new name is CDNX
but oops now its changed again to TSX and i'll have to contack
Knobias on their board to ask if they update this since nothing
works for me.
