The bid is just that what people are trying to pay this is also why some will call it bid support. If you bid whack you are taking out support below, which can cause a stock to crumble. If you buy and sell at the ask you are being more responsible and in reality helping the stock go up and not down. The bid will not change just because you buy at .0002 as you bought the ask and there are still shares that people are willing to sell at the ask in this case .0002. Hope this helps
