Personaly I think the only way we will see is if they raise the money first to complete the Maintenance in Malaysia and raise enough to hire and train personnel. They are still in the same small space with the 10 or so consultants. They only have 4 or 5 people actually on payroll. They are going to need to hire 50-100 people to get this operation going. Approx 15-20 crewmembers (this included flight attendents) and somewhere in the neighborhood of another 20 or so administrative personnel. There is then maintenance and ground handling people (which can be contracted) but as ANYONE in aviation knows is very poor at JFK.
They said they want to fly 3 round trips weekly after a month or two, with that frequency there will be maintenance checks due on the aircraft approx ever month or every other month, do they have provisions to make the flight schedule while the aircraft is in maintenance check?? Some of the checks can be accomoplished in a day, but most will take 2-4 days especially in the begining as the FAA will scrutinize us because we will be a new operator and that is SOP. I know the easy answer is they eill plan on getting a second aircraft almost immediately, but it too will probably take several months to get into the air.
I hope this venture makes it, but I just do not want people to make decisions on all the hype printed on this board. Several of the posters are people working there at Baltia and there is nothing wrong with pumping it up, but keep some truth in the mix.
I only hope that I can see the stock go up, in an honest fashion, so that when my time comes and I go to where we go after death, I can tell my husband that his decision to invest in this company finally paid off.
I too have about a million shares left, and I still have not received any info about Proxy or Shareholders meeting. Maybe Delta was right, maybe someone should make a call to the stock comission and ask about this practice. I too am not so shure of it being ethical to "select" those this company wants there.
I still believe there is a lot of shady deals and smoke and mirrors going on here, but I also still hope they make it so I can get some of our money back.
