Sprint has now moved up to their 4G network, so Virgin Mobile is offering this pay as you go wireless using Sprint's 3G network, which is what I currently subscribe to through Sprint (unlimited data/month $60), but I have a hill behind my house here that interferes with the signal (I also get a lot of dropped cell phone calls on my Verizon phone). I didn't want to switch to cable because if I canceled the Sprint, I would have only Wifi connectivity when traveling, and I need the 'privacy' of broadband for trading. But now that Virgin Mobile is offering the same Sprint 3G service for $40/month by-the-month, that I'm currently paying $60/month for with a contract, I think it is time to dump Sprint and move to cable at home and Virgin Mobile when I travel.
