Remember that correlation does not equal causation.
Although the two may be CORRELATED - I can't say, because I haven't spent the time to plot out days in which stores are added compared to the price action for those respective days - hopefully I don't have to tell you that increasing the number of stores doesn't CAUSE a fall in the price, neither directly or indirectly.
It just plain doesn't make any sense.
It's simply a case of one happening to occur at the same time as the other. They are almost surely UN-related, and I'm sure that you'd find that they are in fact NOT even correlated (ie low "r" value).
