Your Scottrade branch is wrong. The 'D' is put there to indicate a split. It is a new procedure where the symbol will go back to ZIPZ after the split instead of getting a new symbol. I have seen it with a few symbols recently.

ZIPZ new symbol at Scottrade is ZIPZD I spoke to my local Scottrade branch and they told me the D was put on the end of the symbol because they are delinquent with reporting to regulatory agencies.

Scottrade did confirm that it is a 1:2000 RS but they do not have the shares to trade yet and do not have a date when they will have them.

With any stock, We have a limited amount of information to make a decision on. We are never going to completely know everything, and if we wait for 100% knowledge we would likely miss all gains because it took too long to finish research.
